New York Times: Olaf Breuning

One of our artists, Olaf Breuning (b. 1970, Switzerland), made it onto the front page of the New York Times Arts section this past Saturday September 28th, with his work Smoke Bombs (2011). See the article here.



Part Indian festival of colour Holi, part building-on-fire, part Olaf being Olaf. With all the components for an aggravating event (smoke-induced confusion), the color, the playfulness, the purity... it becomes almost a welcome deviation. Mixed feelings be as they may, really this is better seen than described:
